Detailed Description

Plugin providing classes to process real-time 3D US data (image and tracking streams) within the ImFusion SDK.

Extended the Stream and US plugins, dedicated functionality for ultrasound-specific processing of freehand 3D ultrasound data can be found in this plugin.

The central classes are:

• The SweepRecorderAlgorithm to acquire UltrasoundSweep from a set of ImageStream and TrackingStream instances. Its controller contains a powerful live visualization using a ring buffer, probe mesh visualization and support for implementing useful acquisition protocols for researchers.
• The SweepPlaybackAlgorithm allows the inverse: playing sweeps back as ImageStream and TrackingStream pair.
• The UltrasoundCalibrationWizard interactively guides a user towards a calibrated US probe.
• The FrameGrabbingAlgorithm manages a ProcessedUltrasoundStream and allows to deduce ultrasound-specific geometry presets and other metadata based on templates from frame-grabbed ImageStreams in real-time.
