Import and export of the binary ImFusion file format.

Description

Our proprietary ImFusion file format allows for versatile and efficient saving and loading of medical data. In particular it supports multiple images per file, saves all properties of the data containers, and can be expanded with custom plugins for special data types. There is also support for strong compression, which can reduce the size of e.g. a set of 2D images or 3D volumes using the spatial arrangement of pixels/voxels, resulting in smaller file sizes than any off-the-shelf compression format. The compressed modes to not support all combinations of bits used and image types; therefore it is advised to double-check whether the data is stored correctly when using them.
