Description

DICOM data often stores information about the shown anatomy in the Body Part Examined tag following the international SNOMED CT (Systematized Nomenclature of Medicine - Clinical Terms) database. The Edit Anatomy algorithm allows to browse and modify this information using a predefined list of the most common anatomies. The top-most list shows all anatomies that the input image has been tagged with. Use the cross button next the an entry to remove it from the list. The list underneath show the available anatomies and you can select individual items to be added to the top list using the check boxes.

Furthermore, if you have an internet connection available you can click on Connect to an online SNOMED CT database. This enables you to show extended information about each SCT tag, search for individual anatomies, as well as browse the hierarchical database and show parent-child relationships.
